James Mollett Obituary

JAMES HARRISON "JIM" MOLLETT, 90, of Proctorville, OH, transitioned peacefully to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at his residence, with his family at his side. Jim was not afraid of the next part of his journey with Christ. In fact, he was joyful that he would be reunited with his loved ones. Funeral Services will be conducted at Noon Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, with Rick Dean officiating.
Jim was born on September 10, 1934, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Charles and Eloise (Wooten) Mollett. He was a retired master electrician from INCO. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW post 9738, and a member of 1st Wesleyan Church. He later attended Proctorville Baptist Church. Jim gave his life to Christ 20 years ago and lived his life as a disciple for the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a very intelligent and unique man, who loved cars and guns. In his later days he enjoyed sitting on the couch watching Gunsmoke with his wife Freda at his side.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Verna Sue Taylor Mollett, his 2nd wife (who raised all of his children), Lee Mollett; sisters, Wilda Money, Barbara Sullivan, Helen Bellin; and his special companion Jasper who he had an unbreakable bond with.
Survivors include wife, Freda Mollett; daughters, Leslie Susan Baylous (Kenneth) of Huntington, WV, Kimberly Sue Long of Keyser, WV, Lynne Meadows of Huntington WV, Michelle Renee Neidig of Charleston, WV; sons, Robert Lee Dunfee (Thora Jo) of Flatwoods, KY, David Dunfee (Carolyn) of Milton, WV; stepchildren Dale Kincaid, Margie Wight, and Dean Kincaid; grandchildren, Amy Christine Dickerson (Zach), David Andrew Dunfee (Dana), Monica Beth Littlejohn (Mark), Hilary Elaine Gilkeson (Sam), Ian Scott Davis, and several great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He was loved immensely.
