JAY HOKE Obituary

REV. JAY H. HOKE, 80, of Branchland was born December 12, 1933, and went home to be with his Lord February 13, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Opral Brady Hoke; brothers Dana, Gary, Conard, Daris Earl and Dema Ray. He worked on the railroad and was a restaurant owner. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Deloris Parsons Hoke; two children, Judge Jay Michael Hoke and wife Jann and Deborah Kay Braswell and husband Luther; five grandchildren, Mary Cait Hoke, Sarah Hoke, Molly Hoke and Emily and Andrew Braswell; sister Shirley Hoke Ewards; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin with Eddie Chapman and Frankie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Brady and Cummings Cemetery, Ranger. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. You may express your condolences to the family at www.handleyfh.com.
