Larry L. Stutler

LARRY L. STUTLER, 73, of Culloden, WV went home to be with his Lord on Monday, April 14 2025. He was born September 2, 1951 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Aubrey Lawrence and Virginia Tackett Stutler. He retired as the Executive Director of the Lincoln County, WV Economic Development Authority. Throughout his life Larry had a passion for learning. He completed professional development at the University of Kentucky, Institute for Economic Development, Finance at Old Dominion University, Supervisory Development at the University of Georgia, and at WVU he participated in their Health Care Essentials MBA Program and the Community Development Institute and the Graduate Leadership Tri-State.
He stayed active in his community by serving as Board Chairman of Southern WV Health Systems, Southwestern Community Action Council, Lincoln Economic Development Authority, Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA Inc. and was appointed to the Governor's Advisory Council, Children & Families, in addition to serving on fifteen other boards in West Virginia.
In 2016 he was named in the inaugural Class of "West Virginia Sharpshooters", WV Executive Magazine, Honorary Lifetime Member - WV Economic Development Council, WV Governor's Commendation for Volunteer Service. His greatest passion during his work career was working for Lincoln County and Southern, WV. After retirement, he volunteered for Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA Inc., in their consumer credit counseling division.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy McCallister and Freda Curry.
He is survived by the love of his life, Patricia "Pat" Nicholson Stutler of Culloden, WV; four children, Dr. JD Stutler of TX, Summer Stutler Bailey (David) of Hurricane, WV, Andy Mason (Kimmy Davis) of Ona, WV and Steven Mason (Hayley Thomas); one special sister, Louise Chapman of Barboursville, WV; eight grandchildren, Kylie, Gabby, Selena, Wyatt, Gabby, Ari, Jaelyn and Gunner and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and Cremation Services 6357 E. Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, WV near Barboursville with Pastor Jeff Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and Cremation Services, Huntington, WV near Barboursville.
