Larry Varney Obituary
LARRY DALE VARNEY, 76, of Huntington, WV, went peacefully surrounded by family, home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 19, 2026. He was born February 7, 1950, in Huntington, WV, son of the late Mose and Leva Brunty Varney. He was also preceded in death by his son Larry Varney Jr.
He is survived by his wife Sheila Crawford Varney, children Wendi Whitmore (John) of Huntington, Tyler Varney (Betty) of Portsmouth, OH, Abigail Varney of Huntington, and Benjamin Varney of Huntington; two sisters Sharon Hurley and Barbara Torres both of Huntington; grandchildren Haley and Jarrod; great grandchildren Kylee, Levi, Jax, and Christian; host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
He was a great mechanic and loved working on cars. He was the protector of the family.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park, Lesage. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
