LOUIE ADKINS Obituary
LOUIE H. ADKINS, 83, of Ona, W.Va., passed away July 24, 2017. He was born August 2, 1933, in Lincoln County, W.Va., a son of the late Jurana Adkins and Estel Davis Adkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie Adkins, son, David Adkins, brother, Gaylen Adkins, and sisters, Lola and Janice Adkins. Louie retired from Steel of West Virginia and Portec Inc. and was a lifelong member of Midkiff (W.Va.) Methodist Church. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Kim Adkins, Angie and Bobby Rose, Amy and Randy McComas; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Marsha Adkins; five grandchildren, Chris Dennison, Matthew Adkins, Travis Rose, Hanna McComas and Kayla Brumfield; two step-grandchildren, Tenikka Phillips and Martina Adams; great-grandchildren, Teagan Dennison and Kiari Adkins; and step-great-grandchildren, Brax and Trey Adams and Quinton Phillips and his special friend, Doris Hensley. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Paul Stevens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Louie was such a loving and kind man. He gave the best hugs. Most importantly he loved the Lord and was so grateful and thankful for having him in his life. I love you Louie and will miss you horribly.
