Mark Hatfield Obituary
MARK ANTHONY HATFIELD, 56, of Kiahsville, WV, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, VA. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Cove Gap United Baptist Church by Pastor Lonnie Gore. Burial will follow at Cove Gap Resting Place, Cove Gap, WV.
He was born, October 11, 1968 in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Robert Earl Hatfield and Dorene Jean McClellan Hatfield. Mark was a certified electrician for Black Eagle Coal Mine and was the former pastor of Cove Gap United Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special nephew, Nathan Mekosch.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Zenia Napier Hatfield; a daughter, Grace Hatfield of Kiahsville, WV; two sons, Mark Anthony Hatfield, II of Destin, FL, Dustin Michael Hatfield and fiance', Olivia Followay of Genoa, WV; a sister, Zabrina Sisemore (Bill) of Kosse, TX; two brothers, Robert Hatfield (Charity) of Oconee, GA, Billy Hatfield (Diana) of Ranger, WV, three grandchildren, Luke Meadows, River Cassidy, Harper Hatfield; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from Noon until service time at Cove Gap United Baptist Church.
Flowers are appreciated or contributions may be made in memory of Mark to the Cove Gap United Baptist Church Building Fund.
Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

What a great witness for Christ he was, always. A good man who left a legacy behind that will challenge others to strive to be the person he was and to be better Godly examples. Mark will certainly be missed. My condolences to Zena and his children. Will be praying for them and that comfort that only God can give.

I will always remember his and my sister´s precious love for each other. They were always so good to each other and their children, family and friends. When at their home they always gave a warm welcome full of love and happiness.

He was a special very person and a great big huge great heart for people he will be missed and all his family are in our hearts and prayers and thoughts and his wife is my hero and I love and miss them all so much.
