Robert G. Lockwood

1938 - 2024

Robert Glenn "Bob" Lockwood, 86, of Culloden, WV, passed away on October 23, 2024 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House with the love of his life by his side.
He was born March 23, 1938, in Hamlin, WV, a son of the late Cecil and Annie Martin Lockwood. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jay Lockwood.
After graduating from Hamlin High School in 1956, he joined the United States Air Force.
He had a 37 year career in law enforcement, retiring after 24 years of service as a sergeant from the Huntington Police Department and then serving 13 years with US Marshall Service. He was a member of the FOP Gold Star Lodge #65.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Madden Lockwood; daughter, Tawana Lockwood Cato of Charlotte, NC; son, Rodney Lockwood (Peggy) of Culloden, WV; and two grandsons, Christopher Lockwood of Cordele, GA and Ethan Cato of Iron Station, NC.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 27, 2024,
5 p.m. -7 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, WV by the Rev. Paul Whiteford and Rev. John Hayes. Entombment will be in Forest Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the physicians and nursing staff of Hospice of Huntington for the wonderful care they provided for the past year.
