TIMOTHY MITCHELL LILLY

TIMOTHY MITCHELL LILLY, 49, of Hurricane, W.Va., passed away at home suddenly May 18, 2015. Tim was a graduate of Hurricane High class of 1983 and went to work for the City of Hurricane where he became a Class 4 Water Plant Operator. He was also employed by First Response of Hurricane, he refereed for River City's Official Association for over 25 years, umpired for Hurricane Church Softball League, and coached Hurricane Little League Baseball. Throughout the years he coached and officiated Hurricane Midget League Football. He was an avid cyclist, riding over 5,000 miles in 2014. He was known for his bright neon cyclist shirts and as a member of the Putnam County Cyclist Club. He was a proud dog owner, but first and foremost he was a devoted and loving father. His greatest achievements were his children Jacob and Amanda. He is also survived by his wife Sherry Greene Lilly; parents Jerry and Karen Lilly of Hurricane; sister Kristin (Darryl) Bowers and their children Seth and Kaleb, all of Kearneysville, W.Va.; son-in-law Keller Lindsay of Hurricane; and his three special furry boys Huckle, Spanky and Zeke. He was preceded in death by brother Jerry Alan Lilly. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Ellis Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Allen Funeral Home.
