DECATUR - Kimberly Ann "Kim" Day, 65, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday evening at 7:44 p.m. surrounded by her loving family at St. John's Hospital in Springfield after a brief illness.
Services to celebrate Kim's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday afternoon at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Private family interment will be at Macon County Memorial Park.

Kim was born on May 18, 1959, in Decatur a daughter of Virgil M. and Betty J. (Boggs) Robbins. She worked at the VFW where she was well liked and was a member of the Elks Lodge #401. Kim was a devoted Mom and grandma who loved being with her family and taking care of her dogs. She married her best friend Michael E. "Mike" Day on August 16, 2002.
Surviving is her loving husband Mike of Decatur; three children, Luke Schuette and wife Janelle of Effingham, Stacy Schuette of Effingham and Laura Schuette of Altamont; sisters, Linda Mell and friend Denny Ritchart of Decatur, and Jeanie Summar and friend Bob Bernard of Farmer City. Kim adored her ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was greeted in Heaven by her parents and infant sister.

God bless all of you. I played with Kim and her sisters wile are parents visited. My father was a ham radio operator and a railroader with Kim´s father. I´ve often wondered where those 3 girls were especially when I´d pass Harristown area. Please know I´m praying for all of you.
