Nathan Lading Obituary

Nathan "Nate" Daniel Lading, 52, of Collinsville, IL, formerly of Latham, IL, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024.

Nathan was born on March 26, 1972, in Little Rock, AR, the son of Chris and Diana (Rardin) Lading. He graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School in 1990, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a BS in Biology in 1994, and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a MS in Biology in 2002. He was working at Millipore Sigma as a Senior Demand Planner.

Nathan enjoyed spending time in nature and did several years of field research, while working in higher education. Growing up, he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and earned the highest-level award of Eagle Scout. Nathan was also a diehard Raiders Football fan, winning many fantasy football leagues, and loved all things Star Wars.

He is survived by his mother, Diana, of Collinsville, IL; his sister, Natalie (Michael) Berardi, of Maryville, IL, sister Amanda (Nicholas) Gianoulakis, of Collinsville, IL, nephew Mason Berardi, and nieces Norah Berardi and Audrey Gianoulakis, and his beloved dog Cooper. He was preceded in death by his father Chris, and grandparents Elmer and Pauline Lading, and Tom and Marjorie Rardin.

Nathan will be cremated with a private family memorial to be held at a later date.
