Quentin Weber Obituary

TUSCOLA - Quentin M. Weber, 88, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 4:15 AM, Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Friday, February 1, 2008 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, with a 4 PM, Rosary Service on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL with military graveside rites. Mr. Weber was born on March 30, 1919 in Tuscola, IL, the son of Elmer and Theresa Kleiss Weber. He married Catherine Scheu on November 6, 1945 in Tuscola, IL. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2005. Survivors include: 1 Son: Bill Weber of Plano, TX, 3 Daughters: Shirley Taylor of Tuscola, IL, Joan Colwell of Champaign, IL, Judy Weber-Jones of Champaign, IL, 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Brother: Verlin "Frank" Weber of Urbana, IL, 2 Sisters: Ann Mattix of Tuscola, IL, Marge Ferguson of California. He was preceded in death by 1 Son, 4 Brothers and 1 Sister. Memorials are suggested to: Muscular Dystrophy Association, Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, Provena Hospice Unit or Restless Leg Syndrome Support Group Quentin was a very skillful, honest, hardworking and well respected carpenter. He had built over 54 homes during his career. He was a member and former trustee of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
