I am so sorry to just hear this news. I saw Dr. Glatstein when I lived in Miami, and he was the best. Saved many of my teeth with his wisdom and forward thinking. I send my very best to his family.

I met Phil at Paradise Gym (formerly known as) in 2008 when he was a member of the gym and I was a front desk attendant. I was only 18 years old, but quickly befriended Phil. He was friendly and full of charisma and life. He left the gym some time later, but i've always remembered the conversations we had and all the advice he shared with me. May your soul Rest In Peace, Phil. Thank you for always being so kind.

I was 19 years old and had been nursing a toothache for about a year. One morning I bit into a cracker on "that tooth" and went through the roof. My mom was friend's with Dr. Glatstein's secretary, Bobbie. She got me right in and I saw Dr. Aidman who had just started working for Dr.G. Next think I know I'm out of pain and convinced I needed to get in every 6 months for a cleaning. The thing I remember most is the sky blue and cloud wallpaper in the tiny patient bathroom. There was the funky wallpaper, the stained glass reception windows, the fruits of Suzanne's green thumb and the neatly stacked clear plastic magazine covers etched wth the office name -- I loved everything about that office. Even thought I was primarily seen by Dr. Aidman, Dr. G treated me once or twice and he was phenomenal. I am now a dental hygienist (21 years). Ruthie was my hygienist for many years and was my inspiration for becoming a hygienist. I just called to make an appointment today and learned of Dr. G's passing. I'm so sad. He was a man who loved life and lived it to it's fullest. I also learned the practice was sold about 6 months ago. This also makes me sad. But the worst part is I learned that the sky blue cloud wallpaper has been removed. I guess Dr. G took it to heaven with him. God Bless.

Dr. Glatstein was my dentist for 42 years. I was not a very good patient, but he was a great dentist. I always marveled at his vitality despite his advanced age. He never lost his dental skills nor his love for dentistry.

Dr. G was my mentor. He will never know how much he continues to influence my life and professional decisions each day. An amazing energetic man who practiced exceptional dentistry with a kind compassionate heart and with the utmost integrity.
I will never forget him and am eternally grateful to have been able to practice with him for so many years. RIP Dr. G.

Dear Carol, Andy, and Jon,

I first met Phil when I was 12 years old. My mother, Evelyn Streifer, and Lynn were dear friends. Phil became our family dentist back in the early sixties, always caring and supremely professional. He had stories to share and adventure in his heart. My mother kept seeing Phil into her 100th year, no one else would ever do! With love and gratitude,
Roslyn Streifer

I knew Dr. G as my dentist. He was the consummate professional, always there for me as a patient.A true gentleman and old school in his approach to his profession, inspiring confidence in his advice and technical skills.

I am greatly saddened to learn of his passing and selfishly - as much as I dreaded a dental appointment! - nonetheless I will miss his presence.

Dr Glatstein was an exceptional human being. He was loving, caring, kind, funny, he had so many life stories to share with us. I feel so fortunate to have had someone like him in my life. Going to work was something I looked forward to do because i knew he would always greet me with that big loving smile of his and brighten up my day. I will miss him so much.

Phil was more than a partner, mentor and friend. I learned so much from him. We have lost someone so wise and so dear.

I was Dr, Glatstein's assistant for almost 20 years. He was a man like no other. There aren't enough words I can say to describe just how important and influential he was to me.
I loved him like a father and admired him. He was kind, selfless, caring, an adventurer, and a great story-teller. We shared so many laughs, life stories, and jokes. He was so nurturing and gave not just me, but all his staff much love. I always looked forward to seeing him everyday. He was a blessing and a gift to the many lives he touched.
I miss him immensely, but he will be in my heart and my thoughts forever.

Phil was such an awesome human being. What Phil was able to do for as long as he was able to do so many different things at such a high level personally and professionally is nothing short of amazing. They sure don't make em like him anymore.

Phil and Carol were there for me and my newly adopted baby, Jory, at any hour. Phil's solutions to a range of crises were always ingenius-plexiglass behind the stairs so the baby wouldn't go through but the light could; frozen bagels for teething. I am so grateful that Jory had Phil as a grandfather-figure for 12 years. We both will miss him sorely.

I have known Phil since he came to Miami over 60 years ago. Both our wives were Lynns', his Marilyn, mine Evelyn. Friends thought I was nuts when I said I was looking forward to my dental appointment. They didn't know Phil: great dentist of course but also a good joke teller. I learned he was ill at my last visit January 11 but his death came as a great shock. I thought he was eternal. I loved Phil and he will never be forgotten.

Phil was a lot of fun to have as a dad.
He was a natural teacher, with a wide knowledge of systems. (I learned my Carpentry from him.)

Some further insight into him as a man--
Phil was born crippled with club feet. His mother Reba would not conform to the acceptance of his condition as was, and insisted on aggressive surgery performed at 3 months. Phil wore heavy metal braces on his legs for his first 5 years, and led a very physical and and active life.
Phil was an Eagle Scout.
He was a progressive camping pioneer and influence at Camp Robinson Crusoe in Sturbridge, Mass.
Although a Navy medical officer, Phil served at a combat Aid Station with the First Marine Division, in Korea.
