Mine was one of those families that Mr. Pardo helped out during the early days of the Cuban migration to Miami. I recall how as youngsters we would ride our bikes to Majorca on Ponce to pick up medicines for ailing grandparents and parents that he made magically available, quite often, if not most of the time, on credit. A generous and patient man, he was. May his memory always be a blessing to his family and all who knew him.
