August 11, 1942 - January 23, 2022
Vivian Kendrick, age 79, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born in Scott County, Va., on August 11, 1942.
She was of the Baptist faith and loved to sing at church as a small child. Vivian lived most of her life in the Bristol area. She worked for NHC Healthcare for 34 years and enjoyed retirement. Vivian loved her babies, Sonny and Buttons and of course her loving husband, David.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Emma Salyers Grizzle; daughter, Terry Whitley; three grandchildren, Tim Parks, Jessica Whitley and Bradley Rosenbalm; brothers, Kenneth Grizzle, Eugene Grizzle and Junior Salyers; and sister, Bessie Mae Fleenor.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, David Kendrick; brother, Don Grizzle and wife, Ann; sisters, Gillie Shaffer and husband, Richard, and Nina Smith and husband, Dave; children, Teresa Smith and husband, Rick, Lisa Parks, Kathy Rosenbalm, Gary Roberts and Kim; 10 grandkids, 17 great grandkids and great great-grandchild on the way, several nieces and nephews; and two loving pets, Sonny and Buttons.
Vivian's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Shaffer and Pastor Robbie Carty officiating. I worked many years with Vivian at NHC. She was a lovely, caring person who will be missed by many. Vivian was a wonderful co-worker & the patients loved her as well. She took care of many of my family members including my Mother.
To Vivian's family, I am so sorry for your loss. You have my heartfelt sympathy and are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
Rest In Peace Vivian, you have many starts in your crown now.
