Joyce Maxine Kendrick

Joyce Maxine Hoy Kendrick, age 96, of Llano, Texas, passed away peacefully. She was born on March 21, 1930, in Llano County, Texas, to Henry Leon Walton and Eva Mary Ratliff.

Maxine was a lifelong resident of Llano and a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering faith, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John Luther Hoy; and Thomas J. Kendrick "TJ".

Maxine is survived by her two sons, Lynn Hoy and wife Bette Sue, and Billy Hoy and wife Dianne. She was a proud grandmother to Tammy Wittig and husband Todd, Bradley Hoy and wife Gina, and Sarah Land and husband Zach. She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

A graveside service will be held at Llano City Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. The service will be officiated by Pastor Matt Richard of First Baptist Church.

Maxine will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love for her family, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her.
