Betty McEwen Obituary

SHERMAN - Funeral services for Betty Joe Luttrell Jordan McEwen will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 26 at Waldo Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Jordan will officiate. Mrs. McEwen, 86, passed away Thursday, May 24 at the Homestead of Sherman.
Betty was born December 14, 1931 in Paris, Texas to the late Marvin "Acy" Luttrell and Lillie Alma (Thompson) Luttrell. She worked at Gibson's and Texas Instruments for several years and delivered newspapers with her husband for ten years. Mrs. McEwen was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, being in nature, and was extremely knowledgeable in identifying trees and birds.
Mrs. McEwen is survived by her four children, Teresa Diane Jordan, Scott Jordan and wife Carla, Russell Don Jordan, and Terry Lee Jordan, all of Sherman; sister, Novella Luttrell Carter and husband Norman of Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gene Wilburn Luttrell and Hugh G. Luttrell; and two husbands, Hollis Jordan and Bonnie E. McEwen.
