Micah Shepard Obituary

DODD CITY - Funeral services for Micah Theron Shepard, 34, of Dodd City will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, Texas. Minister Bob Shepard will officiate the service with Minister Mike Dickison giving eulogy. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery. Micah Theron Shepard passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.
Micah T. Shepard was born on Nov. 21, 1976 in Oklahoma City to parents Joel Arthur and Phyllis Ann (Mooney) Shepard. Micah worked for Timber Creek Construction, loved sports, was an avid outdoorsman, and was of the Church of Christ Faith.
Micah is survived by son, Shayler Carlton Shepard of Decatur; parents, Joel and Phyllis Shepard of Telephone; sister, Liesl Brooke Shepard of Carrollton; fiancé Stacy Nichols and her children Tyler Lackey and Raigan Nichols of Dodd City; grandmother Lois Rice of Sherman; and grandparents Marqurea and Buck Burns of Belton; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Truman and Mary Mooney of Bastrop, and aunt, Donna Beth Sanford of Lake Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Billy Jenkins, Jon Shepard, Robert Nichols, Kyle Jankowski, Jim Carlton, and Craig Myracle.
Family visitation will be from 7 -8 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
