Annette Maas Obituary

Annette Maas&bb&Annette Maas, 69, formerly of Everett, went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 24, 2000 at the Christian Health Care Center in Lynden, Wash.&pe&She was born in Everett, Wash. on February 22, 1931, the daughter of Henry and Marie Kadyk. Annette attended Everett Christian School through the 8th grade and graduated from Everett High School in 1949. Following high school she worked at Pine Rest Christian&qf& Hospital, in Cutlerville, Michigan for two years. After returning to Everett she worked at Bethany Home until she married.&pe&She loved to sing hymns and knew many of the words by heart. Annette wrote poems and stories, liked crossword puzzles, word searches, reading and raising house plants. She was a faithful member of Everett Christian&qf& Reformed Church and was a member of the Esther Circle Ladies Bible Study.&pe&She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ken Buist of Lynden, Wash; a son, David Maas of New Haven, Connecticut; two sisters, Gerry Ackermann and her husband Ben of Mount Vernon, Wash. and Marion Ekkelkamp and her husband Jerry of Mount Vernon, Wash; a brother, Herman Kadyk and wife Loretta of Everett, Wash; three grandchildren, Emily, Matthew and Melissa Buist.&pe&Memorials can be sent to Everett Christian Reformed Church, 1429 McDougall, Everett, Wash.&pe&A service at the grave side will be Thursday, September 28, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at Hawthorne Memorial Park, 1825 East College Way, Mount Vernon.&pe&Visitation will be Wednesday, September 27th from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Hawthorne Funeral Chapel.&pe& A memorial service will be Thursday, September 27th at 2:00 p.m. at Everett Christian Reformed Church. Reverend James Wiersum will be officiating both services.&pe&Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hawthorne Funeral Home.
