At a time when my son was young and struggling with his reading, feeling not smart enough and having issues with self esteem he met Brent. Karrick is a bright young man that was just having trouble with reading. He excelled at everything else but his top talent was mechanics of any kind. Brent was found on craigslist with chainsaw repair and they had a friendship that formed. It made a lasting impression on my son and my family despite our losing tough for some years. I didn't get a response from my last reply to a nice email from him in 2018. I wish I had looked up his number. Brent was so kind, humble and generous. First he handed him a chainsaw to repair with parts. He gave him other chainsaws to fix and sell even offering him tools but my son had the basics...He also sweetly handed us a dozen eggs from his chickens that day. Brent encouraged my son when others did not in a way that really helped him. Sometimes those little things mean the most. My son is now the lead Diesel Mechanic at a good shop. I wish I could tell Brent about what he did to help this young man along the way that is now doing so well. He did get an update when my son worked at a hospital as maintenance manager. I hope his family reads this as Brent was likely too humble to tell them all he did to help others. I am sorry I am finding out now that he has passed on. What a wonderful man and prayers for a blessed rest and eternal life.
