Isabelle Martha Ries
Salisbury
July 27, 1916 - May 21, 2010

Isabelle Martha Ries Salisbury passed quietly on Friday, May 21, 2010, surrounded by three generations of her family.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, Isabelle arrived in Everett, WA in 1920 with her parents, Howard and Lucie Lincoln Ries, and her brother, Lincoln. She graduated from the Washington School, North Junior High School, Everett High School, the University of Washington, and the General Hospital of Everett School of Nursing. While active in the First Presbyterian Church of Everett, Garden Club, Book Club and PEO, Isabelle had a full career as a nurse and executive at General Hospital of Everett.
Isabelle and her late husband, Clark, lived on Whidbey Island in the 1940's, and returned full time to their beloved home on the water at Clinton, WA in 1978. Active in Saint Peters Lutheran Church and Langley PEO Sisterhood Chapter GJ during retirement, Isabelle devoted herself to family, which gathered at Clinton each summer.
Isabelle was preceeded in death by her husband of nearly 69 years, J. Clark Salisbury, and her son, Jonathan Clark Salisbury.
Survived by daughter, Margie Salisbury Norling and husband Bob Norling; son, Howard Frank Salisbury; son, Dallas Lincoln Salisbury and wife Stephanie Ross; and daughter-in-law, Paulette Nyren Salisbury; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
