Lorraine Marie McDevitt

April 24, 1928-November 9, 2014 Lorraine was born in Seattle and grew up in the Wallingford neighborhood while attending St. Benedict's Catholic School and Holy Angels High School. She loved large family dinners, train rides, and outdoor activities. She attended Seattle University where she met and married Patrick McDevitt. They had five children. Lorraine raised her children, worked for Boeing, and enjoyed an active social life with her friends. She loved to travel, dance, and be with her children and grandchildren. Her busy life took her from three little league games a weekend to volunteering for The Swedish Tumor Institute. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Gilberte Bergmann; and her brother, Robert. She is survived by her brothers, John and Gene Bergmann; and her children Patti Boyle (Matt), Jerry McDevitt (Cece), John McDevitt (Wendy), Jim McDevitt (Laurie), and Teri Giannetti (Pat); grandchildren, Ryan (Rebecca), John (Lyndsey), Michele, Elizabeth, Meghan, Lindsay, Jenna, Cooper, and Kyle. The Rosary will be held at Holy Rosary Church in Edmonds on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will follow on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
