Michael Barber

Michael Barber, aged 66, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at home in Everett, Wash., with his devoted partner-in-crime by his side. Born to Charles and June Barber in Rochester, New Hampshire, he graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a BS and was a master carpenter who operated his own business for many years in Florida and Connecticut. He retired to Wash., but being Michael, retirement didn't last long. Most recently, he brought his skills and talent to the Plant Operations Department at Valley General Hospital (Evergreen Health) Monroe. He enjoyed working on his farm in Snohomish where he and Lauren learned how to hang fencing, shear alpacas and trim goat hooves. Michael enjoyed traveling with his family, attending concerts, and puttering with the latest gadgets in his spare time. Possessed of a rapier wit and keen sense of humor, eclipsed only by a kind heart, these are the traits family and friends cherished and will remember. He is survived by his wife, Lauren Barber, daughter, Lisa Ross, son-in-law, Bryan Ross, and granddaughter, Annabella. He leaves a brother, Charles, and two sisters, Melody LaRoche (partner, Mike Hill) and Tami Larock. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Bonnie Mackie (John), and several nieces and nephews.
