Paula Forthun Obituary

Paula Emily Forthun

Paula Forthun (Beyer) 77, our wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend was reunited with her husband, Kjell on February 29, 2012.
She was born and raised in Long Island, NY by parents, George and Dorothy; who preceded her in death as well as brother, Harold; and sister, Chelan.
She is survived by brothers, George and Alan; sister, Doris; as well as brothers, John Johnson, Wayne Johnson; and her sister, Dorothy.
She brought untold joy and strength to children, Karen, Brenda, Steven, James, Lisa, Timm, Kenny, Wayne and Kjell and their families; including 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Paula raised her family in Bothell, WA and made many wonderful lifelong friends by sharing her loving heart and optimistic view of life.
Her friendships came through many years of driving bus with Northshore Schools and summers with her husband in Westport (with Arne, Elsa, Laijla and Erik). She loved painting, reading and RVing (including cross country trips to visit extended family), and special rides to anywhere with Chuck!
We love and miss you.
A celebration of Paula's life will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Park Ridge Church, 3805 Maltby Road, Bothell.

Paula, we will miss you. It is difficult to absorb the passing of a sister so gracious and loving as you. We all have hard times on occasions while growing up and you and I fall into that group. What makes you so special is that you were able to get beyond those time and cast aside the bad times and see the good life that was waiting for you when you arrived in Seattle. You got on the bus and rode it to the top of the mountain.

There are no words that can say how much love, care, joy and celebration our Mom gave to us! To have someone who so believes in you and who shows you through her sacrifices and her smiles is a priceless treasure. Paula will always be softly (or loudly, her style) reminding me how to appreciate life, and how to walk in the celebration of what's just around the corner!

I love you Mom, and walk in the joy and celebration of YOU....being reunited with your Man, Kjell....and being in the presence of your Savior, Jesus!! Your loving Son, Timm
