Tom Weir Obituary

It is with very saddened hearts we announce that our brother Tom passed away while in the hospital on August 7th.

Our brother Tom's life was the envy of many. A simple one. He lived the life he wanted to live which included watching any kind of sport, fishing with friends and hanging out at his favorite local bar. Nothing complicated. He loved all of our furry friends like they were his own and they, as well as us, will miss him very much.

Survivors include his 5 siblings Jacque, Larry (Paige), Brian, John (Laura) and Todd (Erica), along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on August 30th

2-4pm

Home Plate Pub located at 9317 State Ave #B, Marysville, WA 98270

Tom, you always had a smile and a grand Hello for me when you walked into the Time Out Tavern. I always enjoyed your company and and nice cold beer. You also had a certain quality about you. I remember playing softball, pool and darts with you and I always loved your stories. I also admired your dedication to your work at the Salvation Army and always helping others. Rest in peace my friend.

Oh Too Tall- how sad I am to know you aren´t enjoying a quiet beer with friends. You were an awesome man who treated everyone with kindness and you were always a man of your word. I remember many nights around campfires, especially the ones when we backpacked on Lake Chelan, and your quiet presence was such a pleasure to share laughs and stories. We nicknamed you Too Tall and you will always be in our hearts. With love from your old bartender at the Time Out- Barbara

Got his name "Too Tall" because he could lean closer to the dart board than anyone else. Barb and I have fond memories of our friend from the Time Out. Great guy who will be missed.

Tom was a regular at the Time Out tavern just about a lifetime ago. He was very laid back and I never saw him mad or upset about anything. He seemed to put his efforts into getting along with everyone, always trying to find something to like about them and I believe he always succeeded. As a result I am sure that everyone liked him and thought the world of him.
