Walter Murray Brenton

Oct. 28, 1935 to Aug. 19, 2014 Walt was the oldest of six children born in Roscoe, South Dakota to Ira and Elsie (Klicko) Brenton. He passed onto eternal life with Jesus on August 19, 2014 in Everett, Wash. Walt moved to Everett, Wash. at the age of 21, along with his sister Virginia and her family. He lived there until moving to Taft, California about 12 years ago. Walt had worked at various jobs including the shipyards; two railroads; Boeing; school custodian and as a carpenter. Walt was a quiet man, yet had a teasing personality. His interests had including fishing, going out for coffee, watching western movies and religious TV programs. Walt also enjoyed gospel music, reading his bible and faithfully attending church. Walt is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Joseph, Jim and Robert (Patty); daughters, Lori (Scott), Lisa (Scott) and Kim (Rob); sisters, Virginia and Sarah; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces and his beloved dog Skeeter. Those that have predeceased Walt, are his parents; brothers, Harlan and Bill; sister, Velma; brother-in-laws Leif, Don and Jack; nephews, Larry, Norman and Scott. Faithfully there for Walt in his time of need was his niece and God-daughter Linda. Thank you for all the concern and love you gave. Services will be at Gospel Light Temple, 2801 Rockefeller, Everett, WA. On Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
