Hunter Holt Obituary
CLOVER - Hunter Daniel Holt, 13, of 1154 Birchwood Drive, Clover, S.C., died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at New River Community Church in Lake Wylie, S.C., conducted by the Rev. Arthur Mace and the Rev. Tony Trainer. Interment will be in Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery in Fort Mill, S.C. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC.
Hunter was born Aug. 6, 1995, in Pineville, N.C. He was an 8th grade student at Clover Jr. High School, where he played football and was awarded the All-Conference Offensive Player of the Year. He played first base in baseball for many years and loved the Carolina Tarheels Basketball. Hunter attended New River Community Church in Lake Wylie.
Survivors are his parents, Daniel D. and Lisa Vest Holt; sisters, Danielle Holt (Jeremy Sabo) and Savanah Holt, all of Clover; grandfather, Ralph L. Smith of Tega Cay, S.C.; grandmother, LuAnne Holt Baldivid of Tennessee; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends; and his beloved dog, Dixie.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of York County, 2036 Carolina Place, Fort Mill, SC 29715 or the American Red Cross, 200 Piedmont Blvd., Rock Hill, SC 29732.

It will be 1 month on Tuesday and i still can't believe that he is gone. Hunter was one of the most amazing guys i have ever met and i miss him so much. It is so hard not passing him in the hallways or giving him hugs everyday. Hunter i cant wait to see you again in heaven!

It has taken me awhile to sign the book but it's just because I havent found the words to say. I didnt want to say something that someone has already said but its all I can say. I'm sorry for your loss. It has truly effected everyone in a major way. Just know he's in a better place. I like to think of him as our guardian angel. We can still talk to him and he hears us. My 2 daughters attended CJHS with Hunter this year and became friends with him. I can't begin to tell you how much his death has affected so many teenagers, school, families and an entire town.
I know there isn't anything anyone can say to your family to ease your pain but know you are all in so many thoughts and prayers and Hunter will never be forgotten. He is a true angle.

For many years our backyards connected us, but tonight it is our hearts that are connected. We share with you the hurt and sorrow of loosing Hunter. I did not know Hunter, but knew his grand mother, Norma. Today they are rejoycing with the Heavenly Father, who will take care of Hunter.
All day, he had great fun and then, wreckless behavior, took this sweet boy's life. Too young, not being able to live a great life.

I did not know Hunter but I worked with Danielle for awhile at KFC. I am in San Antonio, Texas now with my family, but ever since I heard of this terrible tragedy my heart has been heavy with sadness for you all. My husband was killed 2 1/2 years ago and I can't imagine the pain you and your family are going through. I have a 13 year old son who plays ball and is the joy of my life.

I didn't know Hunter but what I do know is that he was a special young man who was taken too soon and no one can know why. Hunter was a amazin baseball and football player. Me and hunter meet during baseball season and were friends ever sense. We also went on to play 2 years of football together. I will miss you greatly.

Hunter had such a presence at CJHS and will be missed by all his friends. I know it's hard to accept that Hunter is no longer with us, please remember that his soul rest in the hands of God almighty.

It's been a long time since I've seen Hunter. I had him at Griggs Road YMCA afterschool program. He was a sweet child then, as I'm sure he was now. My deepest sympathy to your family.

My family and I are so sorry for the loss of your son. We will be praying for you and your family. I will personally pray for your strength to help you in carrying on after such a tragedy. Loosing a child is something a parent fears the most in life. So as I go through out my day I will be thinking of you and praying for you so that your heart someday may begin to heal.

Dear Holt Family,
I go to CJHS and words cannot describe how loved and missed Hunter is. Unfortunately I did not get the honor to know Hunter personally, but I can tell you that he was loved and missed by alot of students! Please have some comfort in knowing that your family is in my prayers and Hunter is in a much better and happier place. I cannot imagine how hard this must be for you. Hunter could not be in better hands.
