David Hildreth Obituary

David Hildreth ROCKINGHAM David Andrew Hildreth, 70, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, March 28, 2012 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst following a brief illness. David was born March 20, 1942 in Winchedon, Mass., a son of the late James and Frances Harrington Hildreth. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockingham and worked with Stogner Architecture in Rockingham. David loved his work, reading, NASCAR, traveling, church, and family. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Betty Burcham Hildreth of the home; children, Patrick (Darcie) Hildreth of Longmont, Colo., Timothy (Kelly) Hildreth of Cumming, Ga., Kate Hildreth and her companion, Dale Smith of Roswell, Ga., Jody Costner of Dallas, Ga., Wes Costner and his companion, Vicki of Dallas, Ga. and Tammy (Gaylon) Hinson of Newton; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and brothers, Stephen (Anne) Hildreth of Hudson, Mass. and Philip Hildreth of Gardner, Mass. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, March 31, at First Baptist Church in Rockingham with the Rev. Dr. Jim Nelson and the Rev. Debbie Holloway officiating. Entombment will be Sunday, April 1, at 2 p.m. at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory with the Rev. Ken Swanson officiating. The family received friends Friday, March 30, at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham, and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 210 N. Randolph St., Rockingham, NC 28379. Condolences may be made online at carterfuneral.net.
