Michael S. Winegardner

VALDESE - Michael Scott Winegardner, 37, of Valdese, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, in Lenoir following an automobile accident. Michael was born Sept. 4, 1968, in Gettysburg, Pa., to the late Gwynn Winegardner. He formerly worked at Henredon Furniture. Survivors include his two sons, Robert Clifton Pierce of Valdese and Michael Dallas Winegardner of Lenoir; two grandchildren, Felicity Pierce and Tristian Pierce; mother of his children, Debbie Pierce Edwards and a special friend, Sherrie Snow; mother-in-law, Linda Pierce of Valdese; stepfather, Leonard Snow of Morganton; and three brothers, Mark Winegardner, Chad Cobb and James Winegardner of Morganton. Also surviving are other friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. Interment will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends tonight, Wednesday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
