Ronald David Rector

December 16, 1948 - November 3, 2024

Ronald David Rector, 75, of Hickory, NC passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024. Born in Catawba County, NC on December 16, 1948, son of the late Clifton Lee Rector and Clara Phillips Rector.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Rector.

Ron is survived by his sister, Janice Rector Briggs (Robert); sister-in-law, Susan Rector; nephews, Quinn Briggs and Alex Rector (Meghan); niece, Amanda Rector Martin (Harrison); and extended family.

Ron was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. He would become an Electrician, and in retirement, a school crossing guard for Oakwood Elementary. He loved college football, and was an avid NC State Wolfpack fan.

A private service for Ronald was held on Monday, November 11, 2024 - Veterans Day.
