John Tarr Obituary

John Patrick Tarr, age 81, a resident of Granite Shoals, TX for the past 10 years, passed away at home on Friday, November 8th, 2024. He was a business owner most of his career having owned gas stations, operated an Auto shop, Boat shop, World Bizzare imports, and a home repair business. He was born on February 20, 1943 in Laton, CA to the late Aryland Melvin and Frances Margaret Purdy. He has been a loving friend and partner to Cheryl Kathleen Lindquist for the last 25 years here in the greater Austin area. He is survived by Cheryl Kathleen Lindquist; his son, Neal Aryland Purdy of Hanford, CA; daughters, Teresa Marie Garland of Woodlands, TX; Cynthia Joy Mullane, of Encinitas, CA; Patricia Gail Rodriguez, of Aptos, CA; Katherine Elizabeth Lindquist, of Austin, TX; brother, Phil Purdy of Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. No services will be held, but if you're out fishing think of John and send him a big Howdy!
