Leonard Leming Obituary
Len was born in Layfette, Indiana to Manford and Winifred Leming in 1937 as number 5 of 13 children. He married Reba and together they had 3 children, Annette, Tony and Allen and later in life adopted 3 Down Syndrome Children, Eric, Brad and Savannah. Len had two children from a previous marriage, Tanya and Timmy.
Len served his community well as a volunteer with Horseshoe Bay EMS as an ambulance driver for 12 years and volunteer Fire Fighter for Cottonwood Shores.
Len and Reba were foster parents for about 35 years and loved and cared for over 300 abused, neglected, delinquent and special needs children. Len enjoyed coaching the Special Olympics for many years. He was a wonderful cook and grill master and used these skills in fundraising for the Special Olympics.
Len is preceded in death by his parents, eight siblings, his sons, Tony and Timmy Leming. He is survived by his wife, Reba, his children, Annette Tasker (Robert), Allen Leming (Kelly), Eric Leming, Brad Leming, Savannah Leming, Tanya Leming and Daughter in Law - Barbara Leming, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, his siblings. Artie (Kenny), Lucy (Jim), Steve (Eve), Jason (Kara), several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Thank you to Enhabit Hospice for taking such tender care of Len.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 25, 2023 at 10:30 at Birth of Hope Baptist Church, 621 Magnolia Ln, Cottonwood Shores, TX 78657.

You will be sorely missed my friend. Known Len and family since 2001 when I started driving sp needs kids in Marble. Savannah being one of my heart strings. Prayers to the family

So so very sorry for the loss of Mr. Leming. I knew him thru Fire & EMS way back when I was with M.F. EMS & Fire. I remember Anette and the kids mentioned as well. RIP sir. Your time is done now reap the reward. Clayton Smith
