Heather, Ryan, Elise and Jacob-
You don't know me. I'm friends with Jenny Goodpastor through moms in prayer.
I am a parent to 8 grade boy and 11 grade girl from whom attend Hamilton schools.
I am praying Isaiah 40:11 over you all. Jesus- tend for the Boeve family - your flock like a shepherd. God gathers his lambs in His arms and carries them close to his heart.
May you feel Jesus more near than you ever have as you grieve for Joel. Words are empty but I stand in the gap for you in prayer. Psalm 139 :9-10 also talks about how there is no place we can go where God is not present. May you feel that today.

Being Joel's counselor was a blessing and a privilege. In the week that I spent with him I could tell how amazing of a kid he was. I am praying for you guys and so are so many people out here in Arizona.

I've never met Joel, or any of the Boeves for that matter. All I knew is that I attended school with him. The other day, I checked my inbox to be met with a solemn message. I read that we lost one of our fellow students. I didn't even need to know who it was in order to feel the grief, because when someone so young passes, you know it's going to be an unreal experience for everyone they loved, like a nightmare no one can wake up from. And for that reason, the Boeves and everyone they know have my sympathy. It really isn't fair that we can loose people so early.

I didn’t know Joel but I know his Venema grandparents from Zeeland and his Aunt Pauline. They speak so lovingly of him and how he will be missed. May God wrap his arms around the families who are in pain.
