Marianne Field

1961 - 2014

Marianne Field, 52, of Hamilton, formerly of South Haven, died Friday, February 21, 2014, at her home. She was born October 10, 1961, to George and Royce Ann (Goheen) Besemer in South Haven. A 1979 South Haven High School graduate, Marianne earned an Associate's Degree from Lake Michigan College. Marianne loved to garden and to rock hunt on Lake Michigan beaches. She also enjoyed photography and scrapbooking. Marianne worked with the Boy Scouts for many years. She married her husband of 29 years, Mark Field, on May 4, 1985, at the St. Basil Catholic Church.

Marianne is preceded in death by her mother, Royce Ann Besemer, who died in 2009.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Field; children, Christian Field of Meridian, Mississippi, Andrew (Jessi) Field of Ft. Riley, Kansas, and Steven (Amanda) Field of Hamilton; grandchildren, Jasmine, Johnathan, Makayla and Linzey Field; father, George Besemer of South Haven; siblings, Katherine Besemer of Grand Rapids and Dave (Sandy) Besemer of South Haven; lifelong friend, Cheryl Isom of South Haven.

Visitation will be 6–8 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014, at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev. Father Robert Flickinger and Deacon Tony Nethercot officiating. Marianne will be laid to rest at Stephenson Cemetery in Casco Township.
