Perry Pierre Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Louis Chapel in Parks. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Donovan Labbe officiating. Readers for the service will be Megean and Kennedy Pierre. Gift bearers will be Rayne and Megean Pierre. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Pallbearers will be Willy LeBlanc, Herman Verdin Sr., Kevin Johnson Sr., Melvin M. Joseph, Preston McGee, and Cornel Mouton. Honorary pallbearers will be Perry "P.J." Pierre Jr., Melvin J. Joseph, and Ricky Pierre Jr.
He is survived by his son, Perry "P.J." Pierre Jr.; daughters, Rayne Marie Pierre, Megean Gabriel Pierre, Kennedy Jané Pierre, and Tiya Ayanna Pierre; companion, Sandra Gray; brother, John Edward Pierre; sisters, Mary Louise Jacob and Vickie Pierre Joseph; nine grandchildren; first wife, Katie Wolfe Pierre; second wife, Donnica Brown Pierre; and numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Pierre Jr.; mother, Melonie Provost Pierre; maternal grandparents, Murphy and Leonie Benjamin Provost; paternal grandparents, Harry Sr. and Anita Burke Pierre; brother, Ricky Noel Pierre Sr.; infant twin sons; and nephew, Othello Pierre.
Perry was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was known as a "jack of all trades" by many. He enjoyed fishing, checking the stock market, and music. He loved being with his family and friends.

To my second brother Perry Pierre that's gone to soon but god knows best. He took a veteran, dad, brother, oilfield man. He was a black jr. Ewings. He was a traveling man. I Vickie Joseph his sister one of his sisters know what a divorce felt like. I was his babysitter back in the day. I think we were one of the closest families. We were raised strict but that's a good thing. We were raised to pray and feed the hungry. He loved everybody and everything. His loving sister Vickie Joseph. RIP Perry Pierre.
