Charles M. Venini Sr.

VENINI Charles M., Sr., age 87, of Glen Mills, PA, and formerly of Broomall, PA, passed away on May 11th, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Beatrice V. (nee Pontuto), his loving children Charles M. Venini, Jr. (Elizabeth) and Carla Cleary (Ross), as well as his cherished grandchildren Allie, Beth, Ryan and Matt. Precious son of the late Rose (nee Lemme) and Nicholas Venini. Charles was known by all of his friends and family as "Charlie". In his younger years, he was a powerful boxer in the ring, a skilled jitterbug dancer and a competitive bocce ball player at The Overbrook Club. He enjoyed spending afternoons tending his vegetables and relaxing with a scotch and water on his deck after a round of golf with his friends. He loved good Italian food and knew exactly where to go to get the best plate of stuffed galamad (calamari). Few will ever forget his massive Christmas Eve parties where everyone was family and were treated to endless rounds of drinks and great food. Charlie could always be counted on to make people laugh. He was a kind-hearted man who would do anything for his friends and family. Charlie was known by all as the man to call if you needed help with anything. He was well respected and loved by all. Charlie was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. But, most importantly, Charlie was a genuinely good man and a devoted friend. He was as strong as an ox and, on occasion, as stubborn as a mule. But to those who really knew him, he was just a big old cuddly teddy bear. He will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten.
