Daniel was such an inspiration to me in college as I lived on the same door floor as him. He was a dear friend and I was terribly saddened when our floor mate Sean informed me of his passing from the hat he described as a "reverse John Q" from the movie John Q. I regret not developing our friendship further and still remember when UH conferred an honorary degree to his parents. I have no doubt he would have been one of the best of us to great things for the world. I am still saddened to this day on his passing and will one day see him again. -Major Michael Whitten US Army

Allen and Anita,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know all too well the void that you feel at the loss of a child. Lou Ann and I lost our youngest son Louis 16 years ago this year. You can take comfort in knowing that we, your friends care deeply for you and your family and that Daniel is in God's loving protection now and forever.
