Our kids always wonder why we laugh so much when we're making garlic bread and we say it's because we say we're making "Dave's Anal Retentive Garlic Bread." They don't remember Dave, but we do - and can honestly say that he made the best damn garlic bread in the world!

Hats! I say that with a huge smile on my face, because thats what comes to mind when I think of Dave. The Cool Cat in the Hat- the first hat I saw Dave wear. What a crazy, goofy, fun-loving guy! I know Dave will be deeply missed by many, especially family, so here is what someone told me when my father passed "Hold on to the memories, they'll make you smile". Dave gave off a unique aura that made people smile. He left the very special memory that I'll cherish and smile at whenever I see a strange hat. God bless you all and Thanks for the Memory Dave

David was a special person. He was warm, funny, and devoted to his family and friends. I've known David since he was eighteen and I was sixteen, when he sat behind me in BSO playing bass clarinet and asked me out to see Styx. When it was obvious years later that marriage wasn't for us, we were able to still be friends. He was the best father to Chris. I'm glad he and Lisa found each other because they were such a perfect fit. It's hard to believe and hard to accept that he's gone. When I think of David, I see him with his "bass face" on, bass slung around his neck, playing whatever he was obsessed with at the moment. I'll miss him.

I'm gonna miss the silly man, and we should all remember that even the most reserved of us need some time to weat a silly hat and dance around
