Gabriel Salazar Obituary

GABRIEL SALAZAR, born February 22, 1971 in Houston, Texas, passed away June 10, 2008 in Houston. Gabriel is preceded in death by his father, Rudy Gilbert Salazar, and is survived by his mother, Gilda F. Orta; brothers, Rudy Salazar, Jr., and Mark Salazar; sister, Marsha Salazar; grandparents, Joel and Gloria Hernandez; uncle, Mario Hernandez and wife, Thelma, and cousin, Brittny Hernandez. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2008 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home, where a memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Gabriel was such a great person to have in your presence. He always made us laugh. I remember he used follow me around calling me momma because I treated him like he was one of my own children. Family my prayers are with you.

He was dedicated to anything he put his mind too.

This is very sad news. Although I have not seen Gabriel in years I always remember his laugh if you were down all he would have to do is laugh and what ever you were down about you would forget. It's been many years since I have seen my cousin Gabriel. I will never forget the fond memories from our childhood. Hearing you guys speak of him, making you laugh brings a smile to my face.
