George Blake Obituary

George David Blake
1941-2018
George David Blake, born December 20, 1941 in Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away suddenly on June 17, 2018. George graduated from Ray High School in 1960, where he was a player on their only football team to win the state championship. He went on to earn his BA in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation, he was hired as the 13th employee at EDS under Ross Perot. He went on to become Vice President of their Alpha Division. He went on to become president of Automated Systems and Consulting and Pan American Communication, eventually opening his own corporation, Blake Computer Corporation. George served on multiple Home Owner and Community associations as President, Secretary, Treasurer and Board member.
George is survived by his wife of 53 years, Connee Blake, granddaughter Kelsey Long, sisters Mary Hay and Anabel Seltzer, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved K-9 companion Macy. George's greatest role was a devoted Father to his daughter Candace Blake, who unfortunately passed on in 2014.
A graveside service for all friends and family will be held at Woodlawn Garden of Memories on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10 am.

To George again this year. 2024. Still missing a great bowler. Lost another great bowler Lee Griffin. Why do we lose our team members. Now Lees son is our third bowler and we love him as we did you and Lee. Miss you guys. Darlene
