I met Andy online a year later in Houston. He took my friend and me around Houston as it was our first time there. Hr drove his truck said he wasn´t going to drive in our small rental. Andy was quiet but funny especially when a lady was trying to make me sing karaoke. Andy got all dressed up we went to the Astro Dome ( I´m a yankee fan) . I was back home watching a game and mentioned how clean and beautiful the Astro dome was and I looked up Andy I couldn´t believe it was a tear after he passed I was guessing he was on new adventures because I hadn´t heard from him. I hope his son has his Harley Davidson bracelet it was a gift . I´m truly sorry for the Anderson family for their loss and mine. He was very very good to me I will always remember how he wanted to help young people and said he would never retire from the job he loved.

To the family of Chief Goree Anderson,
I know Goree as Laddie. His mother, Aunt Freda, called him Laddie and so did we. I am the granddaughter of Susie Williams (deceased), who was the best friend of Aunt Freda. Aunt Freda and Laddie knew me as Cookie. Back in the 80s, my mother, brother, sister and me would take my grandmother, affectionately known as Aunt Sue, to visit Aunt Freda and Uncle Earl. I recall meeting Stella and one of Laddie's oldest children. I remember when Laddie first became a Reserve Deputy and when we both worked at HL&P The Light Company. Aunt Freda always talked about how excited and proud Laddie was to become a peace officer because that was always his dream. My family and I have heavy hearts because we did not know what a great family man and Law Enforcement Officer Goree has/had become. Your father, cousin, uncle, loved one, will always be in your hearts and memories and is now free from pain and the stress of this life. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to your family and encourage you to keep looking to GOD to direct your paths and HE will not let you down. Respectfully submitted, Rosalind Randle and the Susie Williams and Robert Baldwin families.

There are no words I can express of how much Gorree (Sugga) as I called him will be missed. He was a good friend and loving father/grandfather. He loved ya'll unconditionally and worked effortless as a police chief. He was a lover of mankind and and gave great advice. Sugga, you earned your wings!!! I"m comforted in knowing there's another angel in heaven watching over me. To Jason, Loree, and Corey continue to make your dad proud and continue his legacy. Weeping only endures for a short time, but joy is coming. I pray the peace and comfort of God be with you all; including family, friends and co-workers. Let not your heart be troubled!! A good man gone from this earth, rejoicing in heaven, and will never be forgotten!!!
