To all of you that have shared your thoughts, prayers, and rememberances, I want to thank you. I don't know if my father was ever happier than when those around him were happy, especially his family. Each and everyone of you that have sent messages, stopped to speak with us, and given your heart felt condolences have been so very special to us.

The stories I have heard from the so many friends my father had has just left me speechless. I am so blessed to have had him as my dad. You all have made all of his family happy to know how loved and respected he was.

We shall meet again!

God Bless

Although I only met Hernan about five years ago I considered him one of my better friends. There was nothing I could tell him about sports that he already didn't know, especially when it came to boxing. I loved talking boxing with Hern. It was only a month ago that we were watching Texas and USC and Texas pulled it out late. I had been doubting them all game, and Hern told me then, you got to have faith baby. I am so glad he did. Hernan was a friend to all and would do anything for anybody. I will miss you "baby".

First to Deborah, I am so sorry. We love you, and are praying for you. Nothing I could say right now will make it better. Next to my cousins Hernan Jr., Lisa, and Joseph, I love you guys so much and want you to know that I also loved your dad, you know that he was like a second dad to me. I will always look up to and respect my Uncle Hernan. My love and sympathy to Tony. To the rest of the family I love you and will alway keep you in my prayers. My uncle was a very special man. He fought hard and he loved hard. He had the greatest laugh and the most beautiful smile. When we were children he was always singing and laughing. Well maybe not always. He was a good father and a loving uncle to all of us. We always had a good time. He was funny and always the life of the party. He was taken from us way to soon. Uncle Hernan, I will miss you, and I love you always.
