Justine Maxwell Obituary

"Buttafly" (Known to her parents as JUSTINE KATHRYN MAXWELL) was Born April 17, 1979 in Houston Texas. She died June 10th 2003, joined in death by her lover DANIEL ARMANTROUT. They were senselessly murdered at the hands of an unknown assailant. Our little butterfly and her baby have flown home. She was a beautiful and delicate soul with a loving and caring heart. She danced with the rhythm of love, was intelligent, creative, giving, and wise beyond her years. She will be missed by all whose lives she has touched in this brief time we've had her. Justine is joined in passing by her grandmother, Kathryn Maxwell, who rejoined her granddaughter only days after Justine's death. She is survived by her two giant cats, Adi and Linq; Grandparents: Justine Smith, Tom and Ruth Henke; Parents: Fred and Linda Maxwell; Siblings: Crystal and Clay Steele, Shawn and Craig Gallant, Tommy and Lorin Crochet; Beloved nieces and nephews: Matthew Maxwell, Christopher Reed, Melissa Reed, Ryan Pledger, Madison Gallant, Mckinzy Gallant, Sydney Gallant and Payton Gallant; Aunts and Uncles: Jan and Jim Smith, Artie and Pam Bergeron, Leanna and Shane Minchew. And great aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to mention here. Justine attended Cypress Creek High School and hated it, though she made many friends. She attended Harris County Community College, University of Houston, and the Montrose Division of the University of Life. She was schooled in the art of body piercing at Sacred Heart Studios. We will celebrate her life with services at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home, located at 9926 Jones Road, on Monday June 16, 2003 at 7 P.M. Dress casually and don't wear black.

I knew you only as Justine. I knew Danny from the tattoo shop. When I heard of yours and Danny's passing, my heart broke. Your precious life was taken so early- I wish I could understand. I grew up with you- I'll never forget the memories. You gave me a since of liberation. I'll never forget your beautiful blue eyes and your captivating smile. I can still hear your sweet voice. You're free, Buttafly, to fly! I'll see you on the other side of the sunset...

Love for Eternity~

Justine-

I had one of the most stimulating conversations with you the first time I met you. I knew the moment I met you that you had something special about you. Something kind at heart that no one could ever take from you. I also could tell Danny had the HOTS for you girl! I was so glad to find out you two were together and you still are. I hope your family finds comfort and that you are on a greater journey.

Dear Fred, Linda and Family:

There is no greater sorrow than the loss of a child...and what a beautiful human being it seems that Justine was. Your tribute to her was very touching and you honor her greatly with your sentiments. I wish I had know her. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. My deepest condolences for the loss of your mother as well. I did know Katie and have memories of swimming at her pool and taking tests with her. May you find the strength to survive this and celebrate the lives of your lost loved ones.

My heart aches for you in the loss of those so prescious to you and so many others. We lift you up in our thoughts and prayers. There is nothing anyone could say that would be significant. Justine and her baby have just gone on before us to get things ready and to be there to greet her grandma on her arrival. We shall all meet again one day. Our deepest heartfelt condolences and love to you all.

We miss you so much already!!!!There's not a moment that goes by I don't think of you and smile... I will try to be strong for you! Thank you for all the things you've done for me and all the memories we’ve made. Those can’t be taken away! I will never forget the friendship we share, one I will cherish forever!!!
