Kathleen, I have been looking for you for years and am so sad to find you in these pages. Your daughter Portlynn, whom I carried in the Putah Creek stream at Guenoc Vineyards years ago when she was a baby, must be in her twenties, no, thirties, and evidently married---hopefully happy as you always were. I think of you as the joyful pioneer of jazzercise, skier, enthusiastic bundle of energy and lover of life. We had some lovely times together, and I will remember you with such fondness and joy, although I sadly missed seeing you again after I left Augsburg in 1987. My daughter Bridget will be so sad to know you have left this world. Blessings to you, your family, and all those who knew and loved you. May your soul rest in peace and love, as you loved the world and all you touched.

To Portlynn & the Gordon family:
As a friend of Norma’s since junior high school, I was saddened to hear about Kay’s call home. It is said that …
“Those who weave color into our lives leaves us with a rich tapestry of beautiful moments, in time of all the things we’ve done and said … with memories of those we love - outlined in golden threads.”
You have so much to remember and to always treasure. May all those precious memories be of comfort to your hearts. And when you see all the beautiful colors that surround you during the day …That’s when you will know that -Kay- really isn’t that far away. She will remain in your hearts always, and her love will be forever yours.
Portlynn, take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
All of you are in my thoughts & prayers,
Rose Brown-Walker (Tony)

Kay was a loving cousin, and the first family member I saw, after spending 5 long months, in Saudi Arabia! I will always remember the great time we had in Augsburg. Kay was like a big sister to me, and I will miss her dearly.
Portlynn, stay close to your loving aunts and uncles and cousins, and we will all be here to get you through. Find comfort in each other and in the wonderful memories you shared with Kay! She is with our angels, Aunt Clydie, Barbara, and uncle BooBoo, and they watch over us, with love.
