Kirk Eyring Memoriam

Kirk Edward Eyring
11/01/1955 - 04/10/2023
Kirk Edward Eyring settled in for his last listen of country music Easter Monday in Houston, Texas, his place of birth. His wife Tammy, children Audrey Frances and Elliott Emory II were by his side in song.
We remain grateful for the precious months we shared both in laughter and tears made possible by M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston Hospice, and God.
Kirk always said yes to his family, good friends, West University baseball, SVDP & West U building committees, family guilds, Strake Jesuit basketball, daughter & dad dances, art car parades, hikes in Yosemite, and driving his family wherever they wanted.
Kirk spent his days creating. He had a full and rewarding life doing just that, with a Masters in Architecture and the confidence from family, friends, and colleagues.
He worked at Bailey Architecture, 18 years with Georgio Borlenghi at Interfin, 11 years self-employed, and 3 years in Florida. His legacy lives in Uptown Park, Monticello, Villa d'Este, residences in West University, Old Braeswood, and 30-A. Townhomes in 1st ward, banks, doctor offices, a bakery commissary, little league concessions, and even car washes.
He was a third generation builder and in his last days he was remodeling his Grandpa Zelesky's 65 year old fish house where he spent many happy times fishing throughout his life.
Kirk was predeceased by his parents, Elliott Emory and Grace E, as well as his brother Eric Elliott. He is survived by his sister and brother in law Elizabeth and Doug Blair. His in laws Pat Lee of Fairview, TX; George Abdou Jr., Rowlett, TX; Debbi and Trey Brooks, San Antonio, TX; Susan and Kevin Chambers, Marietta, GA; Teresa and Michael Toepel, Tiburon, CA; and many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
On May 4, 2023 at 9:15am a rosary will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Houston, TX. Afterwards there will be a funeral mass at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the wonderful people at M.D. Anderson PO Box 4486 Houston, TX 77210 or Houston Hospice 1905 Holcombe Blvd Houston, TX 77030.
