Pamela Sanderson Obituary

PAMELA LEVY SANDERSON, 63, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Houston on Thursday, July 31. Her loss was immediately and deeply felt, as Pam was a beloved sister, a dear aunt, and a loyal friend. A vivacious woman, she enjoyed life and expressed that through her love of travel, good food, sports, books, and much more. A graduate of Ball High School in Galveston and the University of Colorado, she was President of PLS Enterprises, Inc., and a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Billie and Julian Levy, and her brother-in-law, John H. Hutchings. She is survived by her sister, Brenda Levy Hutchings of Galveston, and her brother, Julian A Levy, Jr., of Columbia, Maryland. She also leaves behind nephew John Henry Hutchings, Jr., and wife Lynda of League City; niece Julie Hutchings Bennett and husband Ron of Friendswood; niece Lexi Levy of Ellicott City, Maryland; niece Anna Levy of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and nephew Sam Levy of New York City. Also mourning her loss are her great-nieces and great-nephews, countless friends, neighbors, and her adored dog, Sassy. Visitation will be held at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, 77591, on Monday, August 6, 2007, at 1:30 p.m., and will be directly followed by a memorial service at 2:30. Donations may be made to Shriners' Burn Institute for Children in Galveston or to the Lonestar Bassett Hound Rescue in Katy.

All of us at Raintree, as we walk our little dogs past her home several times a day, think of Pam and Sassy.

You will be happy to know Sassy has a good home. I was so worried about her being lefted alone. I love her as well, she would always greet me the Fridays I came to work, after hugging her and giving a cookie she would go to pad.

I was shocked and so saddened to hear of the loss of Pam. She had been a friend (and had done my taxes) for too many years to count...decades actually. I am afraid there is nothing I can say that will lessen your grief. I am so sorry she is gone, but I will remember her inner and outer beauty forever.

We loved Pam. We are in shock and grief about Pam's death. My husband and I had a professional relationship for more than 20 years with Pam. Pam prepared our tax returns and we always had confidence in her professional abilities. She resently helped us when we were audited by the IRS and with her guidance we owed Uncle Sam nothing more. We would look forward to seeing her once or twice a year. It feels like we have lost a family member. We loved the fact that she was so "real" and honest. She looked like a Barbie Doll. She was beautiful. We will miss her terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. May God bless you and hold you in His Rightous Right Hand and bring you comfort. With much love. Lynda and Dennis
