It has been with great shock and sadness that I discovered this web page while trying to look up my dear old friend, Becky Gaither. I am so terribly sorry for the tragic loss suffered by Becky and by her loved ones. Becky was such a sweet and pretty girl -- lovely on the inside and on the outside. She had such a warm, cheerful and serene quality about her. And she was kind and accepting of everyone. For 2 years, I lived a couple doors down the hall from Becky at Carothers dorm at the Univ of Texas. One year, we went to San Francisco and the Carmel/Monterey coast for Spring Break with our friend Rachel. I think we walked the entire city of San Francisco on foot. Another year, Becky and Rachel and I spent Spring Break at her family's vacation home out on Galveston Island. We had a lot of laughs and so much fun. Becky had a great love for travel and adventure. The last time I saw her, she was driving around the entire United States all by herself!! She was only 22 or 23 years old and she had driven all by herself from Houston up to the Boston area where I was living. We made a day trip to Martha's Vineyard, rented bikes, and rode all over the island admiring the sea roses growing in the sand. She left my house and headed off in her car to the Northwest United States...she planned to drive down through Oregon and California and then drive back to Texas. What a gutsy girl she was!! That was the last time I saw her. I have thought about her so many times...wondering where she was and what she was doing. It's so good to know that she achieved so many wonderful things in her life...that she had a loving husband and three sweet little girls, that she had a meaningful career, and she had a good life. Special thanks to Becky's husband, Bob, for making the videos of her remembrance service available on youtube. It meant a great deal to me to be able to see those. Thank you, and may God bless Becky and you and your family.

Rebecca Weaver ? was a beautiful person inside and out who always lived her life in service to others. To me, she was my confidant and "sister" during our formative years in junior high and high school. I was blessed to have her as my Maid of Honor for my first wedding. My love and prayers to her husband, kids and family and friends.
