Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
We will celebrate the well lived life of Mr. Sherod B. Coleman on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Rose Chapel of Mabrie Memorial Mortuary. Visitation one hour prior to service.
He leaves his mother, children, siblings, the UPS family, his clients and a host of family and friends to honor and cherish his memory.

It's taken me a long time to add a post here offering my condolences to the family of Sherod Coleman. Sherod was my therapist and friend! I am still reeling from this sudden loss. He listened intently, offered great coping tools that I still utilize, and created a safe space for me to be vulnerable. During pur sessions I cried, we laughed, and there were lots of " for real" and "ah-ha" moments during our sessions.
Family, you're in my thoughts and prayers, truly! May God offer the comfort and peace necessary to navigate this space without the physical presence of Sherod.

I am so glad that you left this earth doing exactly what you loved doing. We had the best of times going 120+ on the highway and landing in the most craziest ways. Enjoy heaven, we will meet you soon

Sherod, thank you for your words of wisdom and encouragement when I felt lost and defeated. Although I only had a couple of sessions with you, you impacted my mental health in ways no one else could.
I´m so sorry for the family´s loss and the countless others he uplifted in times of despair.

Sherod Coleman, what can I say... a man I met 20 years ago when I first moved to Houston. We worked at Covenant House Texas together and he was so engaging, so friendly and open . I would be in tears laughing at our conversations. He was street smart and book smart and would always tell me what I needed to do in any situation. I have not seen or been in touch with him for 15 years but his presence has left a lasting impression on me forever. He was one of my 1st friends here in Texas. May his family have peace and comfort and know that he has touched many peoples lives. He will be missed deeply. Rest easy Sherod.

Sherod we met at a desperate time in our life´s and you walked us through a path we wouldn´t be on without your help. You became our friend and we will miss the sessions that we wish we had one more time with you. You made your mark in this world with kindness and heart.

Mr. Coleman!!!!!! Im still in disbelief. I spoke with you that very day. As always, when I had a crisis you was just a call away no matter the time of day.
