Todd Levin Obituary

The fire of TODD LEVIN's life and that of his beloved girlfriend, Raylynn Healy, were tragically extinguished on September 26, 2006 by a drunken driver. Those who knew Todd, basked in the light of his love and friendship during his twenty-eight year visit with us. He was a graduate of the Katy High School and the University of Texas at Austin. Todd worked in Market Research and Marketing and was in management training for Enterprise Leasing when he died. Todd loved people, sports, and music. He was a charming and engaging young man who was willing to help everyone. He is survived by his mother Carol Levin, his father, Stu Levin, his brother Jason Levin, sister in law Stacey Levin, and by his niece Hayley Levin. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 A.M. Sunday, October 1, 2006, Chapel of Levy Funeral Directors, 4525 Bissonnet, Rabbi Todd Thalblum officiating. Interment Beth Yeshurun Cemetery No. Post Oak/Old Katy Rd. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be sent to Temple Sinai, The Shriners Burns Hospital of Galveston, or the University of Texas. The family greatly appreciates the support of our colleagues, friends, family, and the Temple Sinai Community.

Dear Carol & Stu: Bruce and I met you at a wedding recently and spent a lovely time visiting with you at the reception afterward. We are so sorry to learn of your loss from our mutual friend, Carol. To Jason, Stacy, Carol and Stu. I just found out about what happened and I am deeply saddened by the news. I knew Todd first as a fellow Tech band camper. A few years later, I was his camp counselor. A few more years later, I was his fellow student at UT. I always considered him a good friend and I cannot think of anyone I have ever met with such a good attitude every time I saw him. I always felt better after I talked to Todd regardless of the siutuation. The world will miss Todd and I will pray that someday this all makes sense.

Please feel free to call on me if there is anything I can do to help the Levin family through this tregedy.

The Levin family,
Although I didn't know Todd as well as some did, I felt I had known him my whole life. Stu and my dad have been friends for about 20 years or so. I remember running around the house with Todd and Jason. I will always remember the younger days when we caused chaos and mischief. He was a great person and will be misssed dearly. I love you Todd. I'm sorry he had to go and to go like this was even harder. Always remember The Beardsall Family is here for all of you if you ever need an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. We love you all.

I worked with Todd during his years in Maryland. When we weren't talking about work, we always talked sports. Todd proudly displayed his allegiance to U. of Texas with a big Longhorns flag in his cube. When he left Maryland, I took over one of his projects. I was so impressed with his skill and professionalism. Please accept my condolences.

Yesterday, just before attending Yom Kippur services, I found out about the death of my friend Todd. At first Todd was a client of mine while he was at Arbitron. As we grew to know each other our mutual love of sports became more and more the topic of our conversations. He loved the Rockets and eventually went to work with them and I was a Laker season seat holder. We had many discussions about who was better in recent years. My wife's family is from Houston so on each of my last 3 visits I had lunch with Todd. The visits were always fun and each time I looked forward to hearing what he was up to. I will miss those conversations as well as the infrequent email correspondence. He was a good man and a good friend.

We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Todd was an incredible person that always made us smile. We bowled with him on our team last season for Club Monkey and got to know him during this time on a personal level that developed into a friendship outside of bowling. He's so giving and generous being there as a true friend and supportive in business. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Levin Family,
I have known Todd for 9 years, since my freshman year at the University of Texas. We were close brothers in the same fraternity but our friendship grew well beyond. We were roommates one summer in college, and he was one of the first people who visited me when I moved to New York from Houston. When I think of him I am always reminded by his good-naturedness, genuiness, and enthusiasm for life. Despite the unspeakable loss of Todd, his spirit and my memories of him will always live on.

Dearest Stu and Carol,

Words cannot express the pain and hurt Becky and I felt when we heard of Todd's passing. But what I can tell you with true warmth in my heart and a smile on my face, that he was a wonderful man and he led an awesome life that we could all aspire to. I think the true testimony to his life was the huge number of people who came to say goodbye to him this past Sunday. Can you imagine how large the crowd would have been, if everyone who's life he touched, had been able to attend? I will no longer mourn or feel sorry for my dear friend, because I never knew Todd to feel sorry for himself. He was the most optimistic and outgoing man I have ever met. If someone was to ever ask me what I believed defined a true friend, I would have to say someone who would always be there for me, someone who would never hold a grudge against me, and someone who would always be truthful with me. Todd exemplified all these to the fullest and I don't think I will ever meet another like him in my lifetime. Becky and I will miss him, but live joyfully in the Faith knowing that he is with our Father. Our only saddness comes from knowing that we will have to wait until our own passings to see him again.

Our Love,
Craig and Becky Workman
