I was so sad to see this. You have all been on my mind lately and the fun we had as kids. I was older so I of course remember so much more than all of you.
Vic was so special to me, as you all were. I have so many memories of all of you kids and your mom and dad. When I moved to Harlingen at 8 years old and knew no one, your parents made me feel like part of the family.
Vic and I built forts for all of us in the back yard. Polly would beat egg whites for us to gobble up. The backyard barbecues with music and Polly's special barbecue sauce. The big boxes of doughnuts. I even had my own water jug on the back porch, Swimming at Lon C. Hill park and the Country Music concerts.
Nanny girl used to crawl under the house and it was Vic's job to get her. It wasn't always easy as she didn't want to come out.
I could go on and on as there's so many wonderful memories of all of you. Love and sympathy to all of you,
Jerry and Beth (Mary Beth Wilson) Henry

Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

I had the pleasure of working with Vic at OXY back in the 90's. He was the coleader of a work team that included people from OXY as well as 2 other companies OXY had acquired. Vic was an excellent leader fostering a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie; everyone on that team became friends. You could always count on Vic. He will be missed.

When I was at the Marine Academy, I'd spend most weekends at the Tumlinson's. I would have to wrestle the boys before dinner. Vic was the toughest. A good family lost a good man.
