In times like these words are never enough. Having known the family for 30+ years it is impossible to image such grief however we know we have a GOD who can and will comfort thru this tragic time of life. Psalm 23 are greatest words of comfort I could ever offer so please read and heed these comforting words of truth. Your loss is shared by many including myself, may GOD's peace be with you always.

Words are just hard to come by right now but seeing as how I won't be able to attend his funeral, I wanted to say a few things about James. I met James my junior year of high school after transferring to a new school I absolutely hated. We had some classes together and, admittedly, caused some problems for the teachers together lol. James became a great friend to me. We had many nights of playing pool in grandma's garage or just hanging out on the tailgate of our trucks pondering what life had to offer us. James asked me to be the best man in his wedding and I remember stressing out over just the right thing to say. When I moved to North Carolina and then back to Alabama, James was there. To be quite honest, James was always there. We talked or texted on an almost weekly basis. We have spilled our troubles and problems to each other many times throughout life and as I have told many people, I am 11 hours away but if I had picked up the phone and said "James, I need help", he would have jumped in the car and drove to Oklahoma without even thinking twice. Its hard to imagine he is gone. Today, I wanted to text him and ask how things were going just to make sure this is real. James was a great man....one of the best friends I could have ever asked for in life. His old fashioned ways were just hard to come by these days. He loved his family, his kids, NASCAR, Auburn football.....he was passionate about so much. If James gave you his word, you had gold. It's gonna be difficult moving on without him to lean on and talk to. James, I love you like a brother and always will. May you finally have peace.
